Trooper Eric McKee says the collision happened around 6:23 p.m. near mile-marker 75.6.
Soria was traveling eastbound on I-80 when, for unknown reasons, she traveled into the grass area of the median.
Her 1999 Honda CRV began to spin counter-clockwise while traveling across the median and into the westbound lanes of I-80.
Soria’s vehicle then collided with the left side of a 2011 Honda Pilot operated by Gregory J. Jortner, 44, of Easton, Conn.
Following impact, Soria’s vehicle crashed into the left front side of a 1999 Plymouth Voyager operated by Otilio G. Perez before overturning onto its roof.
Jortner and two passengers in Perez’s vehicle – Nereida Ramos and Abdiel Gonzalez – suffered injuries of an unknown severity.
I-80 westbound was closed for approximately 6.5 hours following the accident as authorities conducted an investigation.
Personnel from Pennsylvania State Police Troop C CARS/Forensic Units, Punxsutawney-based state police, Brookville VFC, Corsica VFD, Jefferson County EMS, Life Flight, PennDOT, Jefferson County Coroner’s office, and American Red Cross assisted at the scene.
“DuBois-based state police wish to thank all who assisted at the scene,” said McKee in a release issued Tuesday afternoon.
