Certified Senior Advisors Available at Clearfield Center for Active Living

When it comes to planning your care or the care of an older loved one, you should trust the experts.

Today’s aging population is growing and the demand for qualified professionals to meet their expectations is greater than ever.

The Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging has certified senior advisors, or CSAs, on staff, and they will be available for confidential and impartial consultation with the public at the Clearfield Center for Active Living on May 18, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to stop in and talk with an advisor to obtain information for yourself or a loved one.

Particular areas of expertise include chronic conditions, advance care planning and directives, navigating the continuum of care, from hospital to post-acute care to home, long-term service and support options/resources and generalized aging questions.

CSAs understand how to build effective relationships with seniors because they have a broad-based knowledge of the health, social and financial issues that are important to seniors, and the dynamics of how these factors work together in seniors’ lives.

Walk-ins are welcome.  However, those interested in having lunch at the Center that day are asked to call the day before, but no later than 9 a.m. on the day of, to make a meal reservation.

Any Clearfield County individual 60 years of age or older may contribute to the cost of the meal on a donation basis.  The cost to those under age 60 is $3.50. Lunch reservations can be made by calling the Clearfield Center for Active Living at 814-765-9319.

The center is located at 116 S. Second St., Clearfield, PA 16830.

Starting in June, CSAs will be available the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Clearfield Center for Active Living.

Programs and services of the agency are funded in part by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging Inc., Mature Resources Foundation and local and consumer contributions.
