Robert L. Yeager, 81, of Clearfield died Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
He was born Oct. 1, 1934, the son of the late Ida Yeager Hutton. On June 6, 1963, he married Ellen (Swales) Yeager. She survives.
He graduated from Curwensville High School in 1955. Mr. Yeager retired from Swales Styleline Upholstery.
He was member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church and the Lions Club.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, playing cards with his friends, but above all, he was a family man and loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Mr. Yeager was an avid Steelers and Pirates fan.
He is survived by his in-laws, Elaine (William) Rowles, Lorena (Lyle) Dixon and Ralph (Carol) Swales, all of Clearfield, and Robert (Adele) Swales of Morrisdale and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and sister-in-law, Eloise Swales.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. with the Rev. Robert B. Goldenberg officiating. Burial will be in Mount Joy Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. An additional hour of viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
