Patsy L. “Pat” Unch, 75, of Clearfield died Sunday, May 1, 2016 at her home.
Mrs. Unch was born Jan. 12, 1941 in Pensacola, Fla., the daughter of Willie M. and Estelle (Amos) Crosson.
She had retired from the Clearfield Area School District after 31 years of service as a cook at Bradford Elementary.
Mrs. Unch was a member of the Kerr Addition United Methodist Church. She also gave of her time assisting with funeral luncheons provided to families.
She was an avid walker, walking five miles a day, five days a week, with her Curve friends. She was compassionate and caring to her family and all of her friends.
She is survived by her husband, Jack G. Unch, to whom she was married May 23, 1959, and two sons, Thomas L. Unch and his wife, Brenda of Byron, Ga., and Robert G. Unch and his wife, Tracey of Virginia Beach, Va.
She is also survived by three granddaughters, Elizabeth Kronstead and her husband, Dave, Ashlee Brisendine and her husband, James and Emilee Unch and her companion, Joshua Mahoney; a brother, Robert Crosson and his wife, Cathy of Martinque, Ga.; two sisters, Mary Ellen Decker of Alabaster, Ala., and Jennette Tremble of Indian Harbor, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Sharon Coulter; and a brother, Willie Holland.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield with the Rev. Mark Brower officiating. Burial will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.mm. Thursday and from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
