(CNN) — Authorities in Delaware have not filed charges yet in the death of a 16-year-old girl in a school bathroom fight, Wilmington Police Chief Bobby Cummings said Friday at a news conference.

“Because there is still a lot of work left to do by our detectives and the attorney general’s office in terms of reviewing evidence and relevant facts, we are not in a position at this time to file charges,” he said.

Amy Inita Joyner-Francis died April 21 after fighting with other students in a girl’s bathroom at Howard High School of Technology in Wilmington. No weapons were used in the fight, Cummings said Friday. An autopsy was scheduled to determine the cause of death.

Three students have been questioned and suspended, New Castle School District spokeswoman Kathy Demarest said.
