CLEARFIELD – The students in the Adult Cosmetology Program at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC) hold an annual event every year to raise money for someone in need.

The event is called “So Much More Than Hair.” Students in the program have a Chinese auction, nail art, several vendors, hair cutting for Locks of Love, free wigs for anyone with hair loss and also raise awareness for Alopecia.

This year’s event will be held April 30 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the CCCTC.  The money raised this year will go to the West Branch Area High School Band.

Debbie Gmerek, cosmetology instructor, explained that every year the students choose someone in need and the reason they chose the West Branch Band was due to missing funds for their annual trip.
