DuBois Council Oks Use of Pavilion at City Park for Autism Speaks Fundraiser

DUBOIS – Pending proof of insurance, DuBois City Council approved use of Pavilion “A” in the City Park for an Autism Speaks fundraiser at Monday night’s meeting.

Ame Neiswonger said in a letter that there will be auction items, hot dogs and baked goods being sold to help the group reach its goal.

There was some debate between council members and City Solicitor Toni Cherry over whether the group could just request the pavilion or if a certificate of insurance was necessary.

Proof of insurance is required for use of the Edward V. Cherry Amphitheater. It was decided that insurance was needed for use of the park whether at the amphitheater or a pavilion.
