Lego Gets Jail for Breaking into Residence

CLEARFIELD – An Osceola Mills woman was sentenced to jail Tuesday for breaking into a residence.

Heidi Jo Lego, 36, 110 Stone St., Osceola Mills, was sentenced to 60 days to one year in jail and two years consecutive probation for criminal trespass, harassment and public drunkenness after she pleaded guilty. Judge Paul E. Cherry also fined her $400 plus costs.

The charges stem from a July 5 incident in Osceola Mills when Lego drunkenly entered a home, fought with the resident and continually insisted she was in her own home.

The victim told police, according to the affidavit of probable cause, that he and a friend watching television upstairs when they heard someone walking on the stairs.

The victim looked out of his room and he could see someone was there. This person got to the top of the stairs and then fell down causing damage to a sliding door. After the person got up, she entered the bedroom.

When the victim told her to get out of his house, she refused.  She claimed that she lived here and she wasn’t leaving her house. Again she was told to get out. She refused and slapped him in the face.

She went back downstairs but wouldn’t leave because it was her house, she said. She even told him he had no right to be inside her home.

After the police came, she told them the same thing and said she was not leaving.

The victim said he didn’t know her or why she was there. He told police he had not given her permission to be inside his home.
