DUBOIS – Community members of all ages are invited to Family Fun Day at Penn State DuBois from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. April 23. Admission is free of charge.
Organized by the campus ECO Club and the Green Team, Family Fun Day will celebrate Earth Day with various family activities that focus on environmental education.
Those activities include an oil spill cleanup exercise, make your own water bottle filter, a dinosaur hunt, make your own living biosphere activity, an erosion experiment, make your own pine cone bird feeder, and more.
There will also be educational sessions on drumming and a drum circle, as well as an instructional session on the use of rain barrels, as well as exhibits including those on environmentally friendly cars. All activities will be in the campus Event Lawn behind the DEF Building, or in the gymnasium in the event of rain.
Snacks will be offered and pizza and soda will be available for purchase.
