Raymond L. Bezilla, 83, of Ginter-Morann Highway died Thursday, April 14, 2016 in Snyder Township as the result of a vehicle accident.
Born May 31, 1931 in Morann, he was the son of Paul and Lenora (Resconsky) Bezilla.
He was a member of the St. Barbara’s Polish National Catholic Church, Houtzdale, and several building trade organizations. He was an Eagle Scout.
Mr. Bezilla was employed as an independent contractor in the residential and commercial building industry.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Frances (Tekavec) Bezilla.
Surviving are his children, Sandy Krause (Dave) of Piqua, Ohio, Sheri Bindokas (Ned) Kirtland of Ohio, Mike (Sherry) Bezilla and Laurie (Todd) McMaster, all of Aurora, Ohio, Tony (Angela) Bezilla of Independence, Ky., and Bonnie (Steven) Lyle of North Kingstown, RI.
Also surviving are 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Jim (Cindy) Bezilla of Montoursville; and a sister, Lenora (Dan) Hamaty of North Carolina.
Mr. Bezilla was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, David and Jerome Bezilla.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Barbara’s Polish National Catholic Church, Houtzdale.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale.
Father Lill will hold a Vigil for the Deceased prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
