Marilyn P. Green, 89, of Hummelstown and formerly of Bigler, died Monday, April 11, 2016 at her home.
Mrs. Green was born Nov. 16, 1926 in Bigler, the daughter of Ivan and Edna Faye (Remsnyder) Baughman.
She was a graduate of the Clearfield High School and of the Robert Morris Business School in 1944.
Mrs. Green was a homemaker and had worked at Reeses in Hershey for 24 years until retiring in 1999.
She was a member of Grace Chapel in Elizabethtown. Mrs. Green loved to sit on the beach and go boating and fishing.
She is survived by her husband, Loren Green, to whom she was married on Aug. 15, 1947.
She is survived by two children, Loren I. Green and his wife, Ellen of West Decatur and Kimberly Memmi of Hummelstown, eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Wendy Green of West Decatur, a sister, Shirley Nelson
of Summerland, Calif., and a niece.
Mrs. Green is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Franklin Green.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home with Minister Isaiah Krause officiating. Burial will be in Bigler Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23 at the Grace Chapel, Elizabethtown, with Pastor Mel Weaver officiating
