Grenier Waives Charges in Deceptive Business Practices Case

CLEARFIELD – The former secretary and treasurer of Grenier Enterprises Inc. and Crown Crest Cemeteries accused of deceptive business practices for not supplying grave markers waived all charges to court Wednesday.

Brenda Grenier, 57, of Colonial Heights, Va., has been charged with 30 counts each of deceptive or fraudulent business practices, theft by deception and theft by failure to make required disposition of funds and two counts of theft by unlawful taking.

She has also been charged in two, additional cases. For those, she has been charged with one count each of deceptive business practices, theft by deception and theft by failure to make required disposition of funds. She is incarcerated in lieu of $25,000 bail in each case.

These charges against Brenda Grenier are the result of an ongoing problem for those who have been doing business with Crown Crest Cemetery in Lawrence Township and Lakelawn Cemetery in Sandy Township.
