Plans Display Available for Centre County Bridge Project

Bridge to be replaced as part of Public-Private Partnership Project

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project will begin soon in Centre County.

Ten bridges are due for replacement in Centre County under the project, with four in 2016, five in 2017 and one in 2018.

The project contractor, Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners (PWKP) invites the public to view a plans display for the reconstruction of one of the bridges planned for replacement in 2017:

BRIDGES:  PA 144 over Yocum Run (JV027)

LOCATION:        Spring Township Office, 1309 Blanchard St., Bellefonte, PA 16823

Office hours: Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Friday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

WHEN:       April 4-18

The bridge replacements are part of the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project, a Public-Private Partnership (P3) between PennDOT and Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners (PWKP) under which PWKP will finance, design, replace and maintain the bridges for 25 years. The P3 approach will allow PennDOT to replace the bridges more quickly while achieving significant savings and minimizing impact on motorists.
