The Rev. Erma M. Conrad, 91, of West Decatur died peacefully Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg.
Born April 15, 1924 in Philipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Mabel (Johns) Conrad.
She graduated from Philipsburg High School in 1941, Hammond Beauty School in 1942, Penn State University in 1978, and the Methodist Seminary.
She retired as a Methodist minister, having served at the Woodland, West Decatur and Spring Valley United Methodist charges.
She is survived by a daughter, Connie Irvin and her husband, Terry of Philipsburg; a son, Jeffrey Shaw and his wife, Patty of Philipsburg; seven grandchildren, Kris Vancas, Kelly Hazelton, Heather Klinger, Roxanne Shaw, Clay Shaw, Paige Shaw and Crystal Martin; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Samuel Conrad and a grandson, Matthew Vancas.
It was her wish for her body to be donated to the Humanity Gifts Registry in Philadelphia. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
