Arthur Thomas “Pap” Winters Jr., 92, of Curwensville died Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.
Born June 12, 1923 in Curwensville, he was the son of Arthur and Violet (Craddock) Winters.
Mr. Winters had been a bus driver. He had also worked as a mechanic for Soult Wholesale in Clearfield. Mr. Winters loved woodworking in his retirement years, and he was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
On Jan. 20, 1949, he wed the former Helen Uncles, who preceded him in death on Dec. 10, 2008. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Don Winters; and a sister, Joy Rickard.
Surviving are three daughters, Jody Winters, Kathy Condon and Vaughn Coombs. Also surviving are four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Twila Briskar and Lilly Tornator.
Funeral services for Mr. Winters will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville with Pastor Richard Steuernagle officiating. Burial will be in the Bradford Cemetery in Woodland.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Monday and from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
