Company recalls frozen broccoli cuts sold in 11 states

A company is voluntarily recalling frozen broccoli cuts sold in 11 states over fears of Listeria contamination.

Listeria infection causes serious and at times fatal infections in children, elderly people and those with weakened immune systems. It can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths.

No illnesses have been associated with the product so far, the company said.

States affected

Alimentos Congelados, S.A. recalled 1,800 cases distributed to stores in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina and North Carolina.
