Frances Botwright, 90, of Forest Hills, and formerly of Philipsburg, died Tuesday, March 29, 2016.
Born Sept. 29, 1925 in Troop, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Andrew George “James” Solava and Charlotte (Brucher) Solava.
On Jan. 26, 1952 in Philipsburg, she married Arnold L. Botwright, who died March 11, 1985.
She was a dedicated volunteer for many years at the Forest Hills Senior Citizen Center. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Forest Hills and the Forest Hills AARP.
She is survived by four sisters, Theresa Martha of Philipsburg, Irene Butler of Florida, Jean Frazer of Texas and Kathy Cady of State College; a brother William Solava of Pennsylvania; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her dear friend, Annie Mellor.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Lawrence, James and Edward and a sister, Clara Marin.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, Philipsburg, with Pastor Robert Way officiating. Burial will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
