Kenneth S. “Ken” Confer died peacefully in his home on Sunday, March 27, 2016 in Morrisdale, at the age of 77.

He is survived by his children, Kenneth A. Confer and his fiancée, Diana Timko, Audie Confer and his wife, Cindy, and Melissa Wooster and her husband, Christopher, all of  Lanse; Shelly  Jones and her husband, William Sr. of Morrisdale; Stewart Confer and his fiancée, Tami Barnes of Bellefonte; and John Confer and his companion, Beth Ryves of Kylertown.

He had 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren for whom he adored and loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Mr. Confer was born Sept. 26, 1938 in Gregg Township Centre County to Stewart F. and Alice M. (Faust) Confer. He attended Penns Valley Schools.

He married Joan Diane Moskol on Nov. 20, 1965 in Spring Mills. He worked as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator for most of his life.

His children remember him as a hard-working, driven father who always loved and provided for his family.

Mr. Confer was an accomplished mechanic and craftsman who could make something out of just about anything.  He was a loving, dedicated individual who loved to be outdoors and who was passionate about hunting, fishing, racing and watching sports.

He was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church as well as the Clearfield Moose.

A memorial service is scheduled for Monday at St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Friends and family will be received from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. with services to follow with Pastor Kenneth Zitsch to officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mr. Confer’s life.
