Hospitality Partnership with DuBois Country Club Caters to Businesspeople and Tourists Visiting Clearfield Co.

DUBOIS – Shaner Hotels on Monday announced the opening of the new Comfort Suites DuBois. Located at 8 Lakeside Ave., in DuBois, and adjoining the DuBois Country Club, the hotel is owned by Dubois Resorts LLC and will be operated by Shaner Hotels, of State College.

The hotel’s architecture, in harmony with the newly rebuilt country club, creates a feeling of wonder, which guests will notice the moment they arrive.  A grand chandelier provides warm lighting in the spacious lobby, with sleek wood-style flooring, comfortable seating arrangements around a fireplace and friendly service provide a warm welcome.

With 65 guest suites, the DuBois Comfort Suites hotel has great appeal with business as well as leisure travelers and features the Comfort brand’s new look and feel, which includes a contemporary yet classic design, rich color hues and convenient amenities throughout the property.

Each of the spacious king- and queen-bedded suites are refreshing and energizing, with full-size sleeper sofas, flat-screen TVs, refrigerators, microwaves and plenty of convenient device-recharge capabilities on top of the spacious work desk and at bedside.

Guests will experience a refreshing rest in new bedding packages, which complement Comfort’s Truly Yours Pick Your Pillow program, offering both firm and soft pillows.

Natural light and bright, invigorating colors create an experience with a complimentary morning breakfast featuring healthy and satisfying options, including a flavored waffle station, hot eggs and meats, yogurt and a variety of fresh fruits.

To help travelers who have an extra early start get ready for their day, the hotel also offers convenient Your Suite Success Grab It & Go breakfast bags. The Grab It & Go bag is available before regular breakfast service times and includes a granola or breakfast bar, bottled water, a whole fresh fruit item such as an apple, banana or orange, a napkin and a mint.

Guests can re-energize in the fitness center with both cardio and free-weight training, or relax in their choice of a Jacuzzi, an indoor/outdoor swimming pool and a lap pool that creates an artificial under current for swimming in place.  Day-pass memberships to the hotel’s fitness and swimming facilities will be available to local patrons.

“We’re very excited about the opening of this hotel”, said Dr. Joe Valigorsky, the principal partner of DuBois Resorts, LLC, owner of the hotel, “The new Comfort Suites will complement our recently rebuilt DuBois Country Club with meeting and event space to cater to businesspeople and tourists visiting Clearfield County.”

The Comfort Suites meeting room, which can accommodate up to 50 guests, will complement the country club’s new ballroom, which is enclosed with windows on three of the four walls that provide a striking panoramic view of the club’s championship golf course.

With seating for up to 500 people, it is available to host a wide variety of events including receptions, reunions, holiday parties, sports banquets, golf tournaments and meetings.

With its spectacular facilities the DuBois Country Club has become the greater DuBois area’s newest and modern premier wedding reception destination with accommodations for up to 450 guests.

To complement the club’s “Happily Ever After Starts Here” wedding program, the Comfort Suites hotel has two, elegant bridal suites.  Each spacious suite features a kitchen and dining area seating four, a cozy living parlor accommodating up to four, with a loveseat and two side chars facing a natural fireplace.

The sleeping parlor features a king bed, Jacuzzi and a private balcony facing the lake.  For those who hold their wedding receptions at the DuBois Country Club, the hotel has a spacious private salon area, which will be available for bridal parties to get ready for their special day.

These banquet facilities and the club’s Tannery on the Green Restaurant will also be operated through an agreement with Shaner Hotels.
