CLEARFIELD – The paintings of Dottie Evans-Crissman are now on exhibit at LHU Clearfield, and the public is invited to view.

Evans-Crissman, a resident of Clearfield, is a member of the Susquehanna River Arts Center (Clearfield), Art in Common (Altoona, PA), and the Clearfield Hobby Garden Club.

Evans-Crissman credits her mother and her Clearfield High School art teacher, Willard Dominick, for her interest in art. She has attended many art classes, which have helped to develop techniques in the many mediums of drawing and painting.

She has been accepted into juried art shows, including the Art in Common show at Penn State Altoona, the Indiana Art Association Judged Art Show and the SRAC Art Show in Clearfield.

Evans-Crissman has also opened an art studio in her home and teaches classes on a regular basis. Her classes include acrylic, watercolor, mixed medium and colored pencil. Individuals interested in her paintings or art classes may call her at 814-765-5621 for information.

LHU Clearfield is proud to partner with the Susquehanna River Arts Center on various exhibits, which are always open to the public. Different artists will be featured during the exhibits throughout the year. Founders’ Hall is open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Fridays.

Any artists interested in having work displayed may contact Rebecca Ogden at cloverbean@hotmail.com.
