Daniel M. McGee, 74, of Morrisdale died Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
Born July 8, 1941 in Philipsburg, he was the son of Daniel M. and Lelia P. (Swatsworth) McGee.
Mr. McGee attended the Philipsburg schools and had worked as a mechanic. He had also worked at Walker Lumber and the Wal-Mart Supercenter.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during Vietnam. He was of the Protestant faith.
In the past, he enjoyed fixing and restoring cars, attending car shows and fishing.
He is survived by his fiancée of 11 years, Teresa DeGrasse of Morrisdale, and her daughter and son-in-law, Dawn Crawford and her husband, Leif of Avondale, Ariz.
He is survived by his sisters, Meledene Shaffer and her husband, Guy of Bellefonte, Danenne McGee of West Decatur and Lelia Patricia Smith of Ashburn, Va.; a brother-in-law, Robert L. Kyler Sr. of West Decatur; and numerous other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Mr. McGee was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Kyler; a brother-in-law Alfred Smith; and a nephew, Robert L. Kyler Jr.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Per Mr. McGee’s wishes, memorial contributions may be made to Teresa DeGrasse, 62 Lamb Dr., Lot 6, Morrisdale, PA 16858, to be divided among several charities.
