CLEARFIELD – District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of March 14.
Shaw identified the fugitive as Corey McGuire-Davila, 23, of Webster Street, Philadelphia. McGuire-Davila is wanted for failure to appear at Criminal Call on Jan. 28.
On Aug. 11, 2015, Trooper Terry Jordan of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield barracks, filed a criminal complaint against McGuire-Davila. He charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol, M, and related traffic offenses.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on July 26, 2015, Jordan was assigned to respond to a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 80. Upon arrival at the scene, he made contact with the operator who was identified as McGuire-Davila. Jordan allegedly detected signs of impairment.
Jordan also allegedly detected a strong odor of alcohol emanating from both McGuire-Davila and from inside of the vehicle. McGuire-Davila was then transported to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital for blood testing.
A preliminary hearing was held Sept. 9, 2015, at which time all charges were held to court. On Jan. 28, McGuire-Davila failed to appear at Criminal Call, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
McGuire-Davila is described as an African-American male who stands 5 feet, 7 inches tall. He has brown eyes and black hair.
