CURWENSVILLE – Clearfield Area United Way recently delivered approximately 100 books to the Curwensville Public Library as part of the United Way “Reading Ripples” Project.

The library is one of the United Way’s 24 local member agencies. Gently-used books are collected for “Reading Ripples,” coordinated, processed and then distributed.

These books were distributed in conjunction with “Read Across America Day,” which was also the birthday of Dr. Seuss.

“United Way helps so many important agencies, which touch lives from infants to the elderly throughout eastern, southern and central Clearfield County,” explained President Debbie Bowser.

She added, “Donations, which are welcome and tax-deductible, can be made to CAUW, 18 N. Second St., P.O. Box 1430, Clearfield, PA 16830. Information is available at 814-765-6521.”
