CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Career & Technology Center (CCCTC) chapter of SkillsUSA wants to recognize Lydia Harris, a Business Management and Marketing student who attends Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School.

Earlier this school year, students and faculty at CCCTC were asked to save pop tabs to support The Ronald McDonald House, which is a home away from home for families, so they can stay close to their hospitalized child. It was a Pennsylvania SkillsUSA 2015-16 State Officers initiative.

When Harris heard about what the organization offers families in need she went beyond the CCCTC and asked the Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School students and staff to join in, and she collected a large amount of pop tabs to add to the collection. The pop tabs will be delivered in April at the State Leadership that will be held in Hershey.
