Margaret J. Michaels, 80, of Frenchville went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, March 7, 2016 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.
Born April 5, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur G. and Mary Ellen Welch McFaye. She was a member of the Summit Hill United Methodist Church.
She loved spending time with her great-grandchildren, gardening and mowing the lawn. She retired from Grice Gun Shop and graduated in 1953 from the Clearfield High School.
She married Ronald G. Michaels on April 4, 1953 in Keewaydin. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2013.
Mrs. Michaels is survived by a daughter, Miriam Ennis of Frenchville and two sons, Roger Michaels and his wife, Debbie of Morrisdale and Mark Michaels and his wife, Katherine Soster-Michaels of Downingtown.
She is survived by two sisters, Grace E. Leigey and her husband, Thomas and Bonnie Maines and her husband, Benson, both of Frenchville and one brother, Wilbur G. McFaye Jr. of Sykesville.
She is also survived by five grandchildren, Jonathan Michaels and his wife, Jessica, Jennifer Sproull and her husband, Todd, Tim Ennis and his wife, Nicole, Cody Michaels and Kasey Michaels and seven great-grandchildren, Alexia Hynd, Lysa Hynd, Connor Michaels, Zachary Sproull, Camryn Sproull, Lexis Ennis and Riley Phillips.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Gregory Michaels; one grandson, Bryan Gregory Ennis; one sister, Mildred Tomkins; and one brother, Richard McFaye.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Summit Hill United Methodist Church, Morrisdale, with Pastor Tina Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in the Keewaydin Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
