State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Sunday on Plank Road in Gulich Township. During the incident, someone allegedly broke the driver’s side window of a 1995 red and white Dodge Ram 1500 pick-up truck. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
State police at Philipsburg
- On Feb. 24 Shawn A. Breakiron of Connellsville was detained on an arrest warrant from Fayette County. He was subsequently lodged in the Centre County Jail.
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Feb. 20 on Lion Lane in Huston Township. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged the victim’s fence.
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred Feb. 14 on North Front Street in Philipsburg Borough. As a result, a Philipsburg man was cited for harassment through the district court, state police said.
- State police received two reports about indecent assaults that occurred between April 1 and Nov. 1 in 2015 at a North Front Street apartment building in Philipsburg Borough. Both victims are alleging that the same suspect committed the acts against them but on different dates and times, state police said. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Saturday on Seneca Trail Road in Clover Township. During the incident, two people allegedly subjected each other to unwanted physical contact.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal trespass that occurred Saturday at a Pine Avenue residence in Jay Township. During the incident, a Reynoldsville man allegedly remained at the residence after being advised to leave several times. Charges were filed against him through the district court, state police said.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to an assault incident Friday on Daisy Street. Further, a female was allegedly assaulted by a known male, and she sustained injuries to her face and body. She was taken to Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Police arrested the male on assault charges, and he was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Richard Ireland. The male was then lodged in the Clearfield County Jail.
- Police received a report about a male who was allegedly being disorderly at a local business. The male had left at the time of the complaint and was not located, police said.
- Police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident on Chester Street. There weren’t any injuries as a result, and the vehicle was driven from the scene, police said.
- Police assisted Clearfield Emergency Medical Services with a patient on Dorey Street who was irate.
- Police responded to the 500 block of Daisy Street for a report about a dog that was running loose. The dog was located, caught and returned to its owner, police said.
- Police responded to the Clearfield VFW for a disturbance. Upon arrival police found that a known female allegedly started an altercation, and several other persons removed her from the premises. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police responded to West Front Street for a possible trespassing incident. Upon arrival police found a person was at the property to pick up mail that was delivered to the residence.
- Police received a report about a suspicious male on South Second Street. The male had allegedly been on the porch belonging to the complainant and looking in the window. Police searched for the male but was unable to locate anyone matching the description.
- Police stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense and determined the driver to allegedly be under the influence. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence, police said.
- Police responded to an East Market Street residence for a known female who was allegedly vandalizing a vehicle. The female was located and the victim did not want her arrested for her actions, police said.
- Police assisted the Clearfield Borough Fire Department with a possible structure fire on South Fourth Street. Upon arrival police found that a tenant was cooking and had burnt food; they also had caught a rag on fire. They had extinguished the fire prior to arrival of fire department personnel, police said.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a possible incident of harassment at Wal-Mart.
- Police assisted a motorist on Washington Avenue.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of medication in the Hyde area.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of Washington Avenue and Lawhead Street. Only minor injuries were reported as a result, police said.
- Police received a report about disorder that occurred at the Sapp Bros. Truck Stop. It was handled by police at the scene.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred at a local motel.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief in the Whiskey Hill area.
- Police received a report about an incident allegedly involving the possession of paraphernalia at the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center.
- Police responded to an activated alarm at the Discovery House. Upon arrival everything was found to be OK, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred in the area of South Second Street.
- Police assisted Clearfield County Probation with a warrant service on Valley View Drive.
- Police received a parking complaint that occurred on Valley View Drive.
- Police attempted to check the welfare of a motorist. However, they were unable to locate the vehicle.
- Police received a report about an IRS phone scam.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident near Carns Equipment. No injuries were reported, police said.
- Police received a report about suspicious activity in the area of Clark Street.
- Police received a traffic complaint that occurred in the area of the Rockton Mountain Highway.
- Police received a report about a missing juvenile from the Hillsdale area who was located and returned home.
- Police responded to a disorder at the Skate Station. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
- Police served two warrants during a traffic stop along Daisy Street Extension. Both persons were housed in county jail, police said.
- Police received a report about a missing person from Weaver Street Extension. They were later located by another agency, police said.
- Police responded to an alleged domestic dispute on South Second Street. It was handled at the scene, police said.
- Police assisted a motorist in the area of West Front Street.
- Police assisted a motorist along the Clearfield – Curwensville Highway.
- Police assisted a motorist along Route 322.
- Police served a warrant on a person who Curwensville Borough police made contact with during an investigation. The person was lodged in county jail, police said.
- Police assisted a motorist in the area of Plaza Drive.
- Police responded to an alleged domestic dispute on Polles Road. It was handled at the scene, police said.
- Police received a report about a drug overdose on Poplar Avenue. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment, police said.
- Police responded to Washington Avenue for a person who was on the ground with a possible medical emergency. Police made contact with the person who was checking their vehicle.
DuBois City
- On Friday police were dispatched to a vehicle-versus-pedestrian accident on North Brady Street. The caller told police he was walking through the Sheetz parking lot when he was struck by a car. The driver stopped and helped him to his feet, and she transported him to his residence. However, he told police she provided him with a false name and phone number. The driver was later identified and charges are currently pending, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred Friday on South Brady Street. The complainant told police that a known male tenant was screaming at her and using obscene language. She didn’t wish to pursue charges, and police advised the male to have no further contact with her.
- Police received a report about a suspicious male on South Highland Street. The caller advised dispatchers that a male was at her door and inquired about her electric bill. Police didn’t locate the male and told the caller to contact police if the male came back.
Sandy Township
- On Friday a 47-year-old Falls Creek woman was seen by Wal-Mart employees allegedly attempting to take $62.31 worth of merchandise from the store without paying for it. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about a false alarm Friday at a Treasure Lake residence.
- A 69-year-old Hungry Hollow Road resident reported cars were racing up and down the road with loud exhausts on Friday.
- Blinker Sheetz employees reported that a 37-year-old DuBois woman entered the store and attempted to purchase some items on Friday. When the clerk gave her the total the woman allegedly showed employees a gun that she had concealed on her person; she allegedly commented, “Look what I got for my birthday.” After seeming confused over the total, the woman left without paying for her items. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- A vehicle driven by a 25-year-old Dubois woman hit a vehicle driven by a 40-year-old Penfield man in the Sandy Plaza parking lot on Saturday. Moderate damage and no injuries were reported as a result, police said.
- A vehicle driven by a 31-year-old Brockway woman attempted to pull into a parking space Saturday at TJ Maxx. At the same time, a 35-year-old Anita woman opened her driver’s side door, causing the car to hit it. No injuries and moderate damage were reported as a result, police said.
- Police received a report about a loud vehicle driving through a yard Sunday on Dodd Road, causing damage. While investigating the incident, officers allegedly discovered several other yards in the area with similar damage.
- While having a vehicle driven by a 21-year-old Penfield man stopped for traffic violations Sunday, officers allegedly found drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
