CNN to simulcast Democratic presidential debate

The Democratic National Committee announced Monday that CNN will simulcast the March 9 presidential debate in Miami, which will take place six days before Florida and four other large states hold primaries.

The debate, hosted by Univision News and The Washington Post, will air in Spanish on Univision and simulcast in English on CNN and the Univision-owned Fusion network.

The DNC announced that Maria Elena Salinas and Jorge Ramos of Univision and Karen Tumulty of The Washington Post will moderate the debate.

CNN’s simulcast of the March 9 Univision debate will come just three days after CNN hosts a Democratic presidential primary debate in Flint, Michigan, a blue collar community hit hard by automobile plant closings, and is now grappling with toxic water flowing from household faucets.

The March 9 debate will also take place the night before Republicans take the stage for a CNN/Salem Radio/Washington Times hosted debate on March 10 at the University of Miami.
