CLEARFIELD – Primitive Stars recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony in downtown Clearfield, announced Main Street Manager Loretta Wagner of the Clearfield Revitalization Corp. (CRC).

Primitive Stars will hold a grand opening celebration Feb. 27. It will be held from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and offer basket giveaways, door prizes and refreshments.

Primitive Stars is locally-owned and operated by Brenda and Russ Peterson. Brenda Peterson stated, “I put stars in the name of my business because of all the family and friends who are there for me and all the crafters who put there items in the shop are the stars.”

Primitive Stars is a local store that offers primitive items, furniture, wreaths and much more.

Wagner stated that, “This is very exciting for Clearfield. Primitive Stars is a locally-owned store that will provide a unique shopping experience for everyone. With that in mind, I would like to wish Brenda Peterson and her staff and family success with the business.”

State Reps. Matt Gabler and Tommy Sankey and Clearfield County Commissioners John Sobel and Mark McCracken were not able to be a part of the ceremony. However, they wanted to welcome the new owners to downtown Clearfield and wish them the best of luck.
