Donald Trump really likes fast food

Donald Trump on Thursday dished on a subject he’s passionate about: fast food.

The real-estate mogul spoke at length about his taste for McDonald’s and Burger King — and even a little KFC — during CNN Republican presidential town hall with South Carolina voters.

But the golden arches are tops with Trump, who said he seeks out the fish, Big Macs and Quarter Pounders with cheese.

“It’s great stuff,” he told host Anderson Cooper.

But it’s not just about the menu, Trump explained. Rather, there is the question of cleanliness and a corporate imperative not to poison the loyal customers.

“One bad hamburger, you can destroy McDonald’s. One bad hamburger and you take Wendy’s and all these other places and they’re out of business,” he said. “I like cleanliness, and I think you’re better off going there than maybe some place that you have no idea where the food is coming from.”

Not that Trump is letting himself go.

“I do as well as I can,” he told Cooper, assuring the audience his burger consumption was “very carefully” measured.

And it’s not all red meat, either.

“The other night I had Kentucky Fried Chicken,” Trump said to applause. “Not the worst thing in the world.”
