An audience member interrupted Marco Rubio at a rally Tuesday, shouting “Let’s waterboard Hillary.”
The Florida senator was discussing his plans to keep the U.S. military detention facility at Guantanamo Bay open when the attendee made his outburst about Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton, and Rubio said he didn’t want to know what the man said, laughing and citing the press in the room.
“I didn’t — I don’t want to know what he said. Please, because then — the press is here, I didn’t even hear what they said,” Rubio joked, drawing laughs from the crowed.
“I know it wasn’t a bad word, that’s all that matters,” the Florida senator added, winking at Donald Trump’s penchant for profanity, which recently sparked a minor controversy when Trump repeated a vulgar word an attendee at one of his rallies shouted to describe Ted Cruz.
