WALLACETON – State police at Clearfield have released information on a theft investigation involving Dead Wood Lumber Co. of Wallaceton, which allegedly failed to deliver wood product to a New Jersey business, Let It Grow Inc.
Let it Grow purchased Dead Wood lumber for a total of $182,875. Let it Grow made a down payment of $45,000 for the lumber, which was cashed by Dead Wood Lumber. However, Dead Wood Lumber allegedly failed to deliver the wood product, state police said.
Let It Grow’s check was allegedly cashed by Dead Wood Lumber in May of 2015, according to state police.
