James Herman Roseweir, 86, of died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016 in Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital.
Born Jan. 25, 1930 in Ginter, he was the son of the late Robert and Erna (Srock) Roseweir.
He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War.
He married Hannah Glass in Winchester, Va., on Oct. 12, 1951 and who survives him at home.
He was a member of Madera United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 591 in Houtzdale, where he also served on the Honor Guard team.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator during and after his military service. He was a past president of the Madera Ambulance Association for 10 years.
He was also the past Master of the Mount Summit Grange for 10 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and making rugs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Bertha O’Donnell.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Hannah; his daughter, Billie Watson and her husband, Donald of Madera; his brother, Robert Roseweir of Brisbin; his four grandchildren, Chasity (Steven) King, Dana (Stan) Haberkorn, Annie (Dick) Waite and Jaime (Jeremy) Nagle; six great-grandchildren, Bradley Haberkorn, Douglas Waite, Gage Waite, Ella King, Grant King and Mason Nagle.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday at the Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., Madera.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Ford officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Beulah Cemetery, Ramey.
