State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of burglary that occurred sometime between Jan. 25 and Monday at the Old Jackson China building in Falls Creek Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly broke into the garage and an aluminum piece belonging to a belt sander was taken from inside. State police are continuing their investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of retail theft that occurred Sunday at the Dollar General Store in Winslow Township. During the incident, a Brockway woman allegedly attempted to take several, small items from the store. She returned the items after being confronted by the store manager. She was charged with retail theft as a result of the incident.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment that occurred Feb. 3 on Allen Street in Chester Hill Borough. During the incident, the victim went to a Philipsburg man’s residence to resolve a previous issue. While he was there, the man allegedly struck him with a pipe and threatened him. The victim told state police he immediately left to report the incident. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred Tuesday at the Philipsburg-Osceola High School. During the incident, a Philipsburg boy allegedly punched the victim once in the cheek. The victim wasn’t injured as a result of the incident, state police said. Charges were filed against the boy through the district court.
Clearfield Borough
- Police were called to East Market Street for a male who was placing trash into a dumpster. The male did not have permission to do so, police said.
- Police were called to assist with a combative patient along Route 322. The male was found to have an active arrest warrant through the department, police said. After clearance from the hospital, the male was transported to the county Jail.
- Police responded to a minor accident along West Front Street. A female passenger was transported to the hospital with a complaint of pain, police said.
Decatur Township
- Police handled an alleged incident of harassment. Further, a known male purchased a trail camera from a township resident. He claimed it was broken and wanted his money back. Police asked the two males to cease contact with each other.
- Police received a report about several mailboxes that were allegedly damaged along Decatur Street. It is unknown who struck the mailboxes, police said.
- Police responded to McDonalds on North Front Street, where a bus reportedly struck a parked car. No injuries were reported as a result, police said.
- Police responded to a single-vehicle accident on Bucket Line Road, where a car was observed on its roof. The male was later located at a residence and didn’t report any injuries, police said.
- Police responded to another complaint about a male in a wheelchair on Route 53 in Decatur Township. Upon arrival police removed the male from the roadway and advised he would receive more citations.
- Police assisted a female who felt she was being followed after she high-beamed a vehicle. She was followed to the Sheetz parking lot in Philipsburg, police said.
- Police received a report from the Clearfield-based state police about an active alarm at Kwik Fill on Walton Street. Upon arrival police found that the front door was open. Police contacted the manager and determined everything was OK.
Sandy Township
- Police received a report about a false alarm Monday at United Electric.
- On Monday a 19-year-old DuBois woman alleged that her 30-year-old ex-boyfriend was harassing her via text message. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- Dispatch reported a 911 hang-up call from a Treasure Lake residence on Monday. Upon investigation officers found that a 42-year-old woman and her 18-year-old daughter had engaged in an argument. During the argument, the mother told her daughter to leave the residence because she had been kicking holes in the wall. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Tuesday a 40-year-old Hanes Drive woman sent her son to a neighbor with a note to call police because her 48-year-old boyfriend would not leave her alone. Upon arrival officers met with the woman and her boyfriend and found they had been arguing, and the woman just wanted him to go away. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- Officers responded to an Old Route 255 Road residence Tuesday for an alleged domestic disturbance. Further, a 22-year-old woman reported she had been in an argument with her 23-year-old boyfriend over living with his dad, and he left the residence. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Tuesday a 42-year-old Treasure Lake woman alleged her 18-year-old daughter was being unruly, breaking things in the house and fighting with her. Officers arrived at the residence and handled the situation without incident.
