Dozens injured when bus overturns in Connecticut

About 30 to 40 people have been injured after a bus overturned Monday near Madison, Connecticut, a hospital said.

The Yale-New Haven Hospital in Madison told CNN it is expecting 30 to 40 patients, including six possibly in critical condition. These preliminary numbers may change as the patients are assessed, hospital spokesman Mark D’Antonio said.

The incident happened at about 12:25 p.m. on Interstate 95 near Madison, according to Connecticut State Police Trooper Kelly Grant.

The bus was reportedly full of passengers, Grant said, but she could not confirm the number of injuries.
