State police at Clearfield
- State police have initiated an investigation into an incident during which a known adult female allegedly supplied a juvenile female with alcoholic beverages in Woodward Township
Clearfield Borough
- Police were called to a residence along Merrill Street for an alleged dispute between a mother and daughter. Upon arrival police were able to handle the situation.
- Police filed charges on a Frenchville male who allegedly supplied a check to a local business, which was returned by the bank.
- Police were called to West Pine Street for a male who was allegedly acting suspicious.
- Police responded to Hannah Street for a report about a loose dog. However, police were unable to locate the dog.
- Police apprehended a male on outstanding warrants after he was observed walking along North Third Street.
- Police handled an alleged harassment complaint.
- Police received a report about a female who was allegedly being harassed over the phone by callers from multiple phone numbers.
- Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident in which a vehicle traveled through a fenced area along South Third Street and continued on to flee from the scene.
- Police are investigating an alleged theft during which a male had his wallet stolen.
- Police were called for an alleged trespassing complaint along East Sixth Street but found the resident had permission to be there.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged theft at Lawrence Park Village.
- Police received a report about a possible e-mail scam.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of loitering and prowling.
- Police assisted with a medical emergency in the Plymptonville area.
- Police received a call for a civil issue involving personal property.
- Police received a call for a civil issue involving landlord/tenant.
- Police received a call about an alarm at the Discovery House.
- Police received a call about an alleged incident of retail theft at the Clearfield Mall.
- Police took custody of a male who was wanted in Jefferson County on a warrant through the state police at Punxsutawney.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident at Snappy’s Convenience Store. No injuries were reported as a result, police said.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute that occurred Wednesday at an apartment in the 200 block of West Long Avenue. During the incident, a couple engaged in an argument over him seeing another woman. Police handled the incident at the scene.
- Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident Wednesday at the intersection of Osborne Avenue and DuBois Street. Upon arrival police found the vehicles had left the scene.
- On Thursday a DuBois woman alleged that she observed a male in a ski mask standing on her porch and trying to look inside of her residence in the 300 block of South Highland Street. Police were unable to locate anyone matching the description but the investigation is continuing at this time.
- On Thursday police received a report about the alleged theft of medication that occurred at a residence in the 100 block of West Scribner Avenue. It didn’t appear there was any forced entry into the residence, police said.
- On Thursday police received a report that someone had allegedly shot a sign in front of a Clinton Avenue residence with a BB gun. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
Sandy Township
- A 36-year-old DuBois man alleged that his wife injured him during an argument Wednesday. Upon arrival officers found the man outside the house, where he was severely bleeding from the head. He told police that his 26-year-old wife was mad because he had been drinking while watching their child so she hit him. The woman was arrested for domestic violence and transported to county jail, police said.
- A 69-year-old Treasure Lake man alleged receiving a pop-up screen on his computer several months ago, which stated that his computer had a virus. It advised him to send $500 to fix it, and he gave his credit card information to the unknown company. He then received the same pop-up screen Wednesday, and this time he found that all of his information was gone from his computer. Police want to remind residents not to give out personal or credit information to unknown companies.
- On Thursday a 49-year-old Reynoldsville woman was allegedly caught by Wal-Mart employees attempting to take $46.84 worth of merchandise from the store without paying for it. Further, she allegedly attempted to conceal it in her purse. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
- Police were called to the New Vista Learning Center on South Highland Street on Thursday for an 18-year-old Punxsutawney boy who walked away from the school without permission. The boy was quickly located by police and returned to the school without any issues.
