LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP – The Lawrence Township Fire Department was dispatched for a report about a tractor-trailer that caught on fire Wednesday on Interstate 80 westbound.
Upon arrival within minutes, Deputy Chief Kevin Graham confirmed a working fire in the tractor. The trailer was still connected to the tractor and hauling cardboard products.
An engine crew contained the fire to within the tractor. The crew was assisted by Company 41; the Pennsylvania State Police and PennDOT were also at the scene to shut down I-80.
