Elizabeth “Betty” K. Eamigh Kupko Baronak, 92, of Clearfield died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016 at her daughter, Carol Ferranti’s residence of Country Club Circle, Clearfield.
She was born Feb. 27, 1923 in Irvona, a daughter of the late John L. and Elizabeth (Drew) Eamigh.
Mrs. Baronak was a 1940 graduate of the Clearfield High School. She worked for the Progressive Publishing Company (The Progress) as a typesetter for 47 years until her retirement in 2001.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Clearfield.
Mrs. Baronak is survived by a daughter, Carol (Kupko) Ferranti of Clearfield; a sister, Sylvia Bunzer of Morrisdale; a brother, William Eamigh and his wife, Sue of Westerville, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, T./Sgt., Michael P. Kupko, to whom she was married Nov. 15, 1941 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Clearfield and whom died March 23, 1944; and her husband of 57 years, Adam Baronak, to whom she was married Oct. 20, 1945 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Clearfield and whom died Feb. 28, 2003.
She was also preceded in death by a son, William J. Baronak, who died July 28, 2010; a son-in-law, Richard T. Ferranti; a brother, John L. Eamigh; a sister-in-law, Viola Eamigh; a brother-in-law, Joe Bunzer; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. with the Rev. Robert Stump officiating. Burial will be at Crown Crest Memorial Park.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. There will be an additional hour of calling from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Wednesday.
