DJ Khaled has some key advice for Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush ahead of Thursday’s Fox Business debate, and it looks like the former Florida governor is heeding at least a portion of it.
Appearing on Wednesday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” DJ Khaled, who is a record producer also known for his Snapchat presence, was asked by host Jimmy Kimmel to give some advice to someone who “really needs it” — Bush.
The one-time Republican front-runner is down in the polls. In the most recent Bloomberg/Des Moines Register Iowa poll, Bush was at a mere 4%.
“Jeb Bush, seems like you need some advice. I’m going to give you the key to success and motivate you,” DJ Khaled says in the video. “Jeb Bush, I appreciate you. You a leader. You a Bush. Another one. S— got real for you, Jeb Bush. They don’t want you to win. They don’t want you to have breakfast. A healthy breakfast of food, green apple. That’s the key.”
Bush responded Thursday to Khalid via Twitter.
“Thanks @djkhaled — had my green apples for breakfast”
Bush is set to take the stage at 9:00 p.m. ET, facing off with GOP rivals during the Fox Business Network debate.
