DUBOIS – Plans for a new CVS Pharmacy location were presented at Monday night’s DuBois City Council meeting.
The new CVS Pharmacy location will be at the corner of DuBois Street and DuBois Avenue. It will be across the street from the Your Favorite Car Wash.
The EADS Group Assistant Office Manager Donald Hultberg and J.C. Bar Properties Inc. Director of Entitlements Daniel Wallace, the engineer and developer, presented the current plans to council.
Plans for the new CVS Pharmacy location had been previously presented to the planning commission. There were some plan modifications based upon feedback from that presentation, which included:
- the addition of a bench outside of the store.
- verifying a DuFast bus can navigate the parking lot.
- changing the architectural style.
According to Wallace, the proposed boiler-plate design comes from CVS corporate. The design template used for the current Clearfield location, he said, has been discontinued nationwide.
Hultberg explained that Clearfield acquired its architectural design by presenting objections to that proposed for its location. With an official, written objection from DuBois City, he believed it was possible to acquire an alternative design for the new DuBois CVS location.
