Vickers Allegedly Found with Drugs, Loaded Handgun

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP – A 35-year-old Reynoldsville man, John J. Vickers III, is facing drug- and firearm-related charges, reported state police at DuBois.

On Tuesday state police stopped Vickers for a summary traffic violation on Route 310 in Winslow Township. During the stop, state police allegedly observed a syringe, which was protruding from Vickers’ sweatshirt.

After conducting a search, state police allegedly found Vickers to be in possession of a loaded handgun, marijuana, heroin, methamphetamine, a digital scale, a large amount of U.S. Currency and other related drug paraphernalia.

Vickers was taken into custody and lodged in the Jefferson County Jail. Charges have been filed through the district court, according to state police.
