Section of I-80 Westbound Closed in Clearfield Co.

CLEARFIELD – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting drivers that a section of Interstate 80 westbound in Clearfield County is closed at this hour due to a multi-vehicle crash. I-80 westbound is closed from the Penfield/111 interchange to the DuBois/101 interchange.

Traffic is bring directed off of I-80 at the Penfield/111 exit and will follow the orange detour. The orange detour makes use of Route 153 north to Route 255 south, re-entering I-80 westbound at the DuBois/101 on-ramp.

PennDOT expects the closure and detour to be in place until mid-afternoon today.

Message boards along I-80 are alerting motorists to the closure and detour. Drivers need to be alert for slowed and stopped traffic along the roadway.
