Robert Daniel Ingram Sr., 84, of Curwensville died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016 at Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital. Born Aug. 22, 1931 in Emporium, he was the son of Daniel and Ethel (Bell) Ingram.

He had been employed as a quality control engineer for GTE-Sylvania-Verizon until retiring in 1989.  After retiring, he had worked as a consultant for the company.

Mr. Ingram was a U.S. Naval veteran of the Korean War. He was a 63-year member and past master of Emporium Lodge No. 382 F&AM, the Coudersport Consistory and the Jaffa Shrine in Altoona.

He also served as the Dad Advisor for the Clearfield Chapter of DeMolay and on Sept. 16, 1996 in Erie, he was inducted into the DeMolay Legion of Honor. He was a member of the Curwensville United Methodist Church.

On Feb. 15, 1958 in Reynoldsville, he wed the former Betty Jane Pearce, who survives, along with three children, Paula (Ingram) Eshelman and her husband, Robert, Robert D. Ingram Jr. and his wife, Tammy and Rodney D. Ingram and his fiancée’, Toni Catalano, all of Curwensville.

He is also survived by four grandchildren, Charleigh Lynne, Bailey Danielle, Raven Chyanne and Augustus Oakley Ingram as well as two sisters, Ruth Nolan Owego, NY and Helen Miller of Rebersburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Mr. Ingram will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16 at the Curwensville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Robert S. Ludrowsky officiating.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
