State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an alleged simple assault that occurred Jan. 3 on Oakwood Street in Rush Township. During the incident, the male suspect and the victim allegedly engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical when he attempted to wrestle a laptop computer away from the victim. The victim, state police said, sustained injuries to the arms, legs and chest.
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred Saturday at a Walker Street residence in Rush Township. During the incident, a known male allegedly messaged the victim via text and Facebook after being told to stop. Charges will be filed through the district court, state police said.
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of theft that occurred sometime between Dec. 14 and Dec. 16 in Rush Township. During the incident, someone allegedly wrote checks to himself without authorization from a known local business. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
