CLEARFIELD – District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week.
Shaw identified the fugitive as Andrew Slogosky, 28, of Presqueisle Street, Philipsburg. Slogosky is wanted for failure to appear at Arraignment Court on Dec. 30, 2015.
On Oct. 8, 2015, Officer Shawn Kronenwetter of the Lawrence Township Police Department filed a criminal complaint against Slogosky. He charged Slogosky with receiving stolen property, M1, and retail theft, M1.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Sept. 29, 2015, officers were dispatched to a local business for a report about an alleged theft.
Upon review of surveillance video, a man who was later identified as Slogosky was allegedly observed pushing several large items out of the store without paying for them.
An employee, along with Kronenwetter, was able to view the make and model of Slogosky’s vehicle and its registration.
Police made contact with Slogosky, who initially stated that two friends had borrowed the vehicle on the date in question. However, Slogosky later allegedly admitted to committing the theft.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Dec. 2, 2015, at which time all charges were held for court. On Dec. 30, 2015, Slogosky failed to appear at Arraignment Court, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Slogosky is described as a Caucasian male who stands 5 feet, 7 inches tall. He has brown hair and green eyes.
Anyone with knowledge of Slogosky’s location is asked to call Clearfield County Crime Stoppers at 800-376-4700. All calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential.
