Erma L. Voss, 83, of Clearfield died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016 at her home. She was born Aug. 3, 1932, a daughter of the late Blair and Mary (Maines) Shirey.
Mrs. Voss took great pride in raising her children, and once they had grown and moved away, she went to work at Ames Department Store, Clearfield.
She also attended Dales United Methodist Church, Shiloh. Above all else, Mrs. Voss will be known for her unselfishness and always putting others first.
She is survived by five children, Joyce Calvello, Edward Voss and his wife, Rhonda, Margaret Salvatore and her husband, Harry and Daniel Voss and his wife, Dianne, all of Clearfield, and Donald Voss and his wife, Anita of Virginia.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Richard Calvello, Jeffrey, Joseph, Ryan and Ian Voss, Melissa Rosselli, all of Clearfield, and Cassandra Keeley and Justin Voss, both of Virginia; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward ‘Billy’ Voss on Oct. 28, 1992.
She was also preceded in death by a great-grandson, Matthew Dotts; two sisters, Twila English and Bessie Funari; and two brothers, Robert and Richard Shirey.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with the Rev. Ed Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
