Theda Jean Lawhead, 91, of Clearfield died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016 at her home.
She was born Dec. 26, 1924, the daughter of the late Wm. Clark Kittleberger Sr. and Vera (Hoover) Kittleberger.
On May 30, 1946, she married Robert M. Lawhead Jr., who died April 10, 1993.
She was a 1942 graduate of the Clearfield High School. She was a lifetime member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Clearfield.
She was also a member of the Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital Auxiliary. She was a past member of NON and Women’s Club.
She is survived by her three children, Robin L. Lawhead (Kimberly) of Palmyra and Linda L. Pollock and Gigi L. (Willie) Gearhart, both of Clearfield.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Amy Pollock, Matthew (Dani) Gearhart and Alyssa (Ryan) Price and four-great grandchildren, Rowan Gearhart, Evrett Gearhart, Holden Price and Elliot Price.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert M. Lawhead Jr., and a brother, Dr. W. Clark Kittleberger Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. Burial will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. An additional hour of viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Christ United Methodist Church, Clearfield.
