Chelsea Clinton to do Soulcycle for mom’s fundraiser

Chelsea Clinton is riding out onto the 2016 fundraising circuit — including a spin on a stationary bike.

The former first daughter’s events are not standard political fundraisers, according to sources and invitees. For example, Chelsea Clinton will headline a fundraiser on January 27 in New York where attendees will participate in a SoulCycle class with her.

For $2,700, attendees will join “Chelsea’s pack” and be guaranteed a “premium reserved bike.” The event will take place at the SoulCycle studio in trendy Tribeca and was first reported by Politico.

Clinton will headline at least 10 solo-fundraisers in January, according to invites, including an “afternoon tea” with Anna Wintour, editor in chief of American Vogue, in New York on January 19.

The former first daughter will also headline two Florida fundraisers on January 29 focused on the LGBT community. Clinton will hit Florida for two events — one in Fort Lauderdale and another in St. Petersburg. The Fort Lauderdale event will be hosted by Claire Lucas and Judy Dlugacz, founder of a travel company called Olivia that focuses on booking trips for the lesbian community. The couple hosted a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton in 2015. The former first daughter will then travel to St. Petersburg for an event hosted by Equality Florida’s Ed Lally and husband Phil Dinkins.

Hillary Clinton has credited her daughter for changing her mind on same-sex marriage, something the former first lady came out in favor of in 2013.

The former first daughter told Ellen Degeneres last year that she “absolutely” pushed her mother to support same-sex marriage.
