CLEARFIELD – Co-workers, friends and well-wishers said goodbye to a long-time employee of CNB Bank on Nov. 25. Banking Officer, Larry Putt, retired after 47 years with the bank.

“Larry has seen many changes to the banking industry over the years and has helped to grow and shape this organization into what it is today,” stated Joseph B. Bower Jr., president and chief executive officer of CNB Bank.

“We all appreciate his dedicated service and send well wishes for his retirement.”

Putt began his banking career at CNB in 1968 as a messenger.  Throughout his career, he’s held positions at each of the CNB offices in Clearfield to include teller, collections officer, loan officer and branch manager.

Most recently, Putt enjoyed a loyal following of customers as a banking officer at the bank’s office located on Industrial Park Road in Clearfield.

In 2014, Putt was inducted into the Pennsylvania Bankers Association’s (PBA) 40-Year Club.  Each year, the PBA recognizes bankers completing 40 or more years of service in Pennsylvania’s banking industry and who are regular members of the PBA.

In total, CNB has eight employees who have surpassed the 40-year mark.

Putt commented, “It has been a great pleasure working with the entire CNB family.  They’ve made it a wonderful place to work for over 47 years, and I’ll miss seeing all of my friends and the customers that I have had the pleasure of getting to know.”
