Sandra L. Halenar, ‘Sandy Blake’, 69, of Clearfield died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
She was born Oct. 15, 1946, a daughter of the late James H. and Mary E. (Mitchell) Blake.
Ms. Halenar had most recently been employed by Helpmates of Clearfield. Prior to that, she had worked at Ridgeview Elder Care Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville, as a nurse’s aide.
She had also been employed at Kent’s Sportswear for 16 years and McGregor’s for 10 years.
She is survived by her son, Richard Scott Halenar of Denver, Colo.; a brother, James Michael Blake and his wife, Sue C. of Baldwin, Mich.; a nephew, Chad Michael Blake of Lapel, Ind.; and numerous cousins.
There will be no public services held.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 275 21st St., Clearfield, or to the American Cancer Society, 26 S. Second St., Clearfield.
