Lois J. Jones, 83, a resident of Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015 at the village.
Born Feb. 15, 1932 in Philipsburg, she was a daughter of Morris and Iola Mae (Knepp) Shimmel. She was a graduate of Philipsburg High School and was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church, West Decatur. She enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by a daughter, Robin Lukens and her husband, Scott of Chester Hill and a son, Darwin Jones and his wife, Brenda of Morrisdale.
She is survived by two sisters, Gail Shimmel and her husband, Kenneth of Osceola Mills and Diane Twist and her husband, Bill of Philipsburg and a brother, Bill Shimmel and his wife, Sandy of Clearfield.
She is also survived by four grandchildren, Eric Lukens, Amy Ford, Ryan Jones and Chellcey Jones; five great-grandchildren Lillie, Gavin, Alex, Max and Serenity; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Morris, Harold, Harry, Raymond and Denny and four sisters, Helen Hipps, Kate Conway, Elda Morgan and Phyllis Millinder.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, Philipsburg, with the Rev. Kaye Hute officiating. Burial will be at Reidy Cemetery, Wallaceton.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
